Data Privacy Statement

This Privacy Notice relates to the collection and processing of your personal data for the purpose of providing in-person training on Liferay products and offerings.

Identity of the Data Controller ("Liferay"): 

If you are a Liferay Partner, the Data Controller is the entity “Liferay International Limited” with registered office at, 100 Mount Street Lower, Dublin 2, Ireland. 

If you are a Liferay employee, the Data Controller is the Liferay company which is  party to your employment contract as detailed in the Employee Privacy Notice here.

Purpose for the Processing: Liferay will process your data for the following purposes: (1) to guarantee that you are allowed to register and participate in the In-Person Bootcamp Program and receive all logistical information around the trainings (such as whitepapers, presentations and guidelines, etc.), as applicable. This will include the sending of emails with information about attending the trainings, and follow-up emails with the training slides and recording, and with answers to any questions that you may raise during training sessions); (2) provide you presentations, theory and hands-on exercises; (3) record the training sessions and take pictures of them, which will be shared among the participants and internally at Liferay; (4) give you the possibility to take an exam/test to evaluate your knowledge and obtain the relevant certificates; and, (5) to get your feedback on the sessions contents and the Bootcamp Program via phone or email.

Legal Basis for the Processing: 
Liferay will process your data further to section 6.1.f) of the GDPR since the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by Liferay, namely to organize and run the event, to enable your participation and provide you with all information required prior to, during and after the event and to preserve and share the impressions and knowledge shared at the event with all participants and other Liferay Partners and employees of the Liferay group not able to attend the live event.

Recipients: The training sessions are intended for Official Liferay Partners and Liferay employees only. Liferay will not make them publicly available. Liferay may share your data with all participants, other Liferay Partners (as identified at https://www.liferay.com/en/partners/directory), its service providers and with Liferay affiliates (as identified at https://www.liferay.com/locations), which might be located world-wide. You may inquire about the basis for the international transfers, or the adequate safeguards that apply to those transfers (and obtain a copy of them where applicable) by sending an email to our Data Protection Officer. 

Period: Liferay will delete your data within a reasonable time from the completion of the event for which you signed up and/or delivering the relevant training certificates, unless there is a legal basis for continuing processing your data, e.g. based on further interactions between Liferay and you.

Your Rights: You can at any time and at no charge request access to, erasure or rectification or restriction of processing of your personal data by Liferay at any time. That includes your right to object to further use of your data at no charge. In particular, please note that you can object to receiving follow-up emails asking for your feedback on the webinar contents. For all these purposes, please contact us at: [email protected].
