For any site, content on public pages will always be the the same for guest users. Each call of such public pages requires the database calls and some server side processing of theme template files to fetch data. That’s just degrade the performance of our site.

Performance booster plugin caches the entire public page contents for default amount of time on first call of page. So if any another call is made for same page, it will just load the data blazing fast from cache. This will help to improve performance of overall portal. Changes for public pages will render only after cache expires. Moreover, there is also a button provided to reset the cache immediately irrespective of the cache time. The plugin is currently configured to cache only public pages content.

Currently, the default value is set for ideal time(last accessed) and live time(last created) of cached data as below.
Ideal time: 300s
live time: 600s

To clean cache,
Go to Control Panel → Configuration → Performance Booster → Click on Reset Page Cache button
